Master in Economics, was principal of an experimental high school running on the Gandhian model of "New Education". A powerful Mentor in life and even today... ! A Master in Horticulture with super specialization in Pomology; from Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI) and former researcher at Indian Council of Agriculture research (ICAR) - both premier apex institutes. A gold medalist in Agriculture Sciences, Founder & Director of CHETANA-VIKAS, Youth Leader for development and peaceful change. A Master in Botany with Ecology special. Head of the Department of Sustainable Agriculture & Natural Resource Management and Associate Director. Muralidhar Morey, BA, Diploma in Education, Has been connected with village problems and people since his youth. And so was easily elected to the Village Panchayat. However, he got a direction to his work after joining Chetana-Vikas. Sandhya Satpute after 15 years at CHETANA-VIKAS is one of the senior most Family Counsellor. It is during this tenure that she has seen the number of counselling centres run by CHETANA-VIKAS rise from 5 to 11 and of full time counselors rise from two to six. Sujata Lohakare, after 12 years, is one of the senior Counsellors at Chetana-Vikas. Master of Social Work, she has developed skills and resources which continuously improve the level and quality of counselling. Varsha Jawade is a Master in Arts and Social Work. At Chetana-Vikas since 11 years, she performs roles which are supplementary to the main purpose of Counselling. Sangita Wankhede is a Master of Social work Special in Community development. She is a senior member and co-handles a counselling centre run at District Administrative Centre (Zilla Parishad), and a sub Centre. Sheetal Bhure is Bachelor of Legislative Law, Master of Social Work & M Phil in Peace & Non-Violence. Since 4 years at CHETANA-VIKAS. She handles legal issues arising out of the web of social complications, faced by rural women. Jaanrao Gomase at 64 is an important link between the villagers and project planners. Graduated in Arts, special with rural extension and development. Leela Sute is 68 today. Coming from a community ostracized as Dalit, her only expectation is that "Human beings should treat each other as human beings". Vimal Pande has been with Chetana-Vikas since 38 years. Educated till 10th standard, she has risen from the ranks and is now regularly reaching more than 1,000 women in 38 villages through Self-Help Groups, and Federation activities. Has special interest in establishing rural women as entrepreneurs. Nalini Jamunkar is from a village bordering Wardha district. She says that the opportunity of working with rural women could make her understand, the problems and sorrows of rural people. That she could help in solving these problems made her Confident Field Person. Madhav Yelne is Master of Commerce and handles the Account keeping at Chetana-Vikas. He doubles up as a trainer for all the rural women involved in Record keeping of SHGs and the Federation. Ujwala Vaidya is Masters in Social Work and co-handling a Family Counselling Centre in Wardha district. Ujwala at 35 today, is single handedly raising a daughter while doing her job. At Chetana-Vikas, she learnt many aspects which taught her adjustments and she feels she could handle herself better and face her own challenges with acceptance. Suresh Kashti basically is a farmer from a village in Wardha district. Owns 6 acre rainfed land. He joined the Alternative Agriculture Resource Centre as a farm hand. Due to the opportunities provided at CHETANA-VIKAS, he showed spark and today is the Manager of the demonstration Centre-AARC. Devku (Jyoti) Paswan, at 35 has been drawn to social issues and problems, from early stage of her life, which is full of personal struggles. Is more interested in understanding the basic issues from which the problems emanate. Vaishali Atram, Master of Social Work, is a new entrant to CHETANA- VIKAS. Sicne 2 years she is handling 3 Counselling centres - one runs in District Administrative Centre (Zilla Parishad), and two sub Centres. Enthusiastic and eager, her work made her realize the importance of counselling in marriages which have hit a rock. Mohan Mahajan since past 34 years has been the point person at Chetana- Vikas. With problem solving in issues ranging from Training materials, Transport, assisting Counselors, Vehicle maintenance, Human Resource Development, Technical issues with implements, et al… Prabhawant Ambatkar, is a Bachelor of Commerce and has been responsible for cash and Accounts at Chetana-Vikas. Meticulous and organized, he has also trained many women of Self-Help Groups in record maintenance, cash handling, writing ledgers. Taj Shaikh is 47 and left his college studies mid-way due to unfavourable conditions at home. With CHETANA-VIKAS, since the past 15 years, he handles all the work connected with composing, scanning and printing, documents.Ms. Suman Bang
