Human Resource is the most important asset in the balance sheet of any society.  At Chetana-Vikas, we believe in empowering individuals and communities by developing their human resources in three areas: Knowledge, attitude and skills. We cover two major subject areas: One, Agriculture and Natural Resource Management, and, two, women’s empowerment with the following objectives:

  1. To emphasize human resources development by nurturing local village cadre and leadership with various development skills through consistent and intensive training and learning exposure.
  2. To create critical consciousness among the people about the society it’s present nature, problems within, their possible solutions and people’s role.
  3. To organize people for collective action against injustice and to spread awareness about their rights and duties.

For each of the programmes, we meticulously work on three levels: individual level, village level and area level.  On average, for each of the programmes, teams of about 100 people are created to implement and to provide villager-to-villager training.

Apart from this, Resource Persons and Alternative Agriculture Resource Centre (AARC) has so far contributed to different Not-for-Profit Organizations (also called NGOs) across various states of India.
